Essendon Thunder is the representative and pathway development netball program for the Essendon District Netball Association (formerly known as Victorian Baptist Churches of Christ and Associated Churches Netball Association Inc) and was established as "Aberfeldie Thunder" in conjunction with the Hume Thunder Netball Club in 2015.

Since that time, our association has undertaken a name change and with it, cooperation with Essendon Netball Club to create the "Essendon Thunder" brand.

In recognising the talent, application, history and commitment comprising our association, Hume Thunder and Essendon Netball Club, Essendon Thunder was created to promote the pathway to higher levels of netball for our players.

Our Thunder program provides a positive environment for players to develop their full potential both on and off the netball court, with experienced coaching and comprehensive organisational support.  As well as developing their netball, the program provides players with the opportunity to broaden their relationships in a fun and active environment. The players learn to develop their skills, fitness, responsibility & game knowledge whilst maintaining our core values of respect and a sense of fair play.

Our program will provide our players with every opportunity to achieve their netballing goals.
